Clinical trials morphed so quickly during the pandemic, that the entire industry lost the ability to define themselves. The notion of DCT or Decentralized Clinical Trials sprung up in the Covid chaos, but despite its stickiness, in IOHO, it's all wrong. Working closely with our Medable team, we uncovered a critical insight: Clinical Trials are not decentralized, in fact they centralize, rather trials unify the entire clinical trial arena; including medical offices, doctors, patients, laboratories, and pharmaceuticals. So rather than DCT, we are UCT and then ultimately, just like banking became mobile banking and then eventually banking again; DCT and UCT will eventually become simply…Clinical Trials.
